Crispin Jones has recently (August 2019) joined Arbed am Byth as Managing Director, leading the management of the Welsh Government’s flagship area-based Fuel Poverty programme, Arbed.
Crispin previously reported into a current UK Board member at E.ON UK, working as Affordable Warmth Obligation Manager / Programme and Project Services Manager, creating the team that delivered the Affordable Warmth element of ECO, reporting in to the Secretary of State (BEIS) for ECO phases 1 and 2. Both of these phases were discharged effectively and satisfied Ofgem audit.
While at E.ON he established an internal delivery business to satisfy ECO heating installations at a period when industry capacity could not satisfy demand for the obligation commitment.
Prior to this, he has worked at Energy Saving Trust in Wales, establishing strategic referral networks across third sector agencies for the Welsh Government Nest programme, and as a Senior Consultant at Gwerin Associates, provided consultancy services to the Fuel Poverty sector in Wales and supported local supply chain partners prepare for ECO / devolved government Energy Efficiency / Fuel Poverty programme. Crispin was previously Community Warmth Director for Warm Wales, a Community Interest Company established in Wales (Port Talbot & Wrexham), delivering home energy improvements to residents across 14 Local Authority areas in Wales.
Until 2008, Crispin was Wales Director of eaga partnership, delivering the Home Energy Efficiency Scheme (HEES Wales) for Welsh Government, from its inception in 1999, and being appointed to a second 5-year programme in 2005. He was a founder member of the first Wales Fuel Poverty Advisory Group (FPAG), under the chair of then Social Justice Minister, Edwina Hart AM and established a relationship between the Welsh Government and the Washington D.C-based, US Federal ‘Weatherization’ program, which led to joint visits to share Energy Poverty experience.
Born and brought up in Rhyl, Crispin has returned from Nottingham to Wales to take up the new role, and now resides with his wife and grown up children in Abergele, sharing his time between the Arbed am Byth Head office in Nantgarw and north Wales.
Jordan has over 15 years’ experience in customer operations, delivering customer focused journeys which put the customer at the centre of every element of delivery. Jordan’s past experience has taken him across the UK, Europe and as far as India where he has implemented Continuous Improvement methodologies, delivered CX transformations and managed large service delivery operations in multiple companies across the energy industry.
Jordan made the move to join Arbed in August 2019 inspired by the opportunity to improve the lives of people in Wales. Working as part on the senior management team, Jordan aims to provide an effortless service which keeps the customer informed, educated and satisfied.
Jiaqi Ding is qualified as an Associated Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) in 2014 and had wide experience of accounting and financial applications for a range of business from SMEs to PLCs across multiple sectors.
Over the last 10 years, Jiaqi has developed her career working within the SME companies, and now she is the Financial Controller of Arbed am Byth Ltd and responsible for overseeing the financial position of the Arbed business and supporting senior management team for developing the strategic plans.
Gavin Maund has been in construction since the age of 16, qualified as a Carpenter & Joiner in 2000 and later qualified as an Electrical Installation Engineer in 2005, Gavin has gained wide experience within construction and Health & Safety for a range of businesses from SME to large PLC companies across multiple sectors from Maintenance, New Builds to the Energy Sector.
Over the past 15 years, Gavin developed his career working with SME Construction Businesses across Wales and a large Energy company within the UK, he is now the QSHE & Compliance Manager for Arbed am Byth Ltd and is responsible for overseeing the Quality, Safety, Health, Environmental & Compliance for the Arbed business, working as part of the senior management team to help develop the business and create a safe working environment for all connected with the business.
Jordan has gained a wide range of technical experience over the past 8 years in various technical roles. He began his career as an IT Support Analyst, primarily providing remote and onsite technical support on contracts with government agencies. He has since worked as a Data Analyst and Software Developer in large, multinational companies, including one of the largest retailers in the world.
Jordan joined Arbed am Byth in May 2019 to improve reporting and data analysis processes, along with developing software and various technical solutions. He has stepped up to support the Senior Management Team by reviewing, monitoring, and improving technical processes and systems.
